Jeff Street is an independent Christian church. We have no denominational ties, yet we have close and vital bonds with churches around the world. As part of the Restoration Movement, we have no creed but Christ, and the Bible is our only written guide. We choose to simply be called Christians, while recognizing we are not the only Christians.
When they decided to form a new congregation in 1971, one of the goals of Jeff Street’s charter members was to reach out with the hope of the Gospel to a different area of Lincoln. Jeff Street has consistently initiated or supported local and global outreach ever since.
Locally, we offer Celebrate Recovery (for those struggling with addiction), Divorce Care, Grief Share, and Financial Peace. We also partner with Hope Grows Neighborhood Center (an outreach center to families in one of the most underprivileged parts of Lincoln). Other local ministries we support reach into local prisons, support adoptive and foster families, and provide pastoral counseling.

Our global partnerships include Pioneer Bible Translators and our sister church in Pignon, Haiti—along with missionaries in India, Poland, Congo, and Mexico.
